Keeping Families Connected is a Christ centered ministry founded in 2008 by Rick and Barbara Nischalke, based in the Atlanta, Georgia area and serving families worldwide.
My name is Rick Nischalke. My wife Barbara and I started Keeping Families Connected in 2008. Our ministry focus is protecting, strengthening and restoring family relationships in a world that’s tearing them apart.

Several years before I met Barb, I went through a horrible divorce that shattered my family. Due to something called severe parental alienation, I lost all contact with my sons who were aged 4&7 at the time. It’s been over 27 years since we’ve been in each other’s lives.
My wife was previously married and went through a divorce as well. After 18 years her husband decided that he wanted to be married to someone else. So, he left her and his daughters to move out of state and start a new life with the woman he had an affair with.
As you might imagine, both of those experiences were rough. But God blessed us with each other, and used those experiences to give us a heart to help others keep their marriages and families intact.
Over the years, we have helped thousands of families around the world. We’ve written 2 books. We’ve been interviewed on the radio several times. We’ve spoken at large churches on multiple occasions. Our videos have been viewed well over 250,000 times around the world. Several videos have been translated into other languages by viewers from other countries. We’ve also facilitated multiple Divorce Care programs at local churches.
We offer resources for personal growth, faith, marriage, divorce, parental alienation, reconnecting with your child, protecting your child, and a special section devoted to grandparents wishing to stay connected and have a lasting impact on their grandchildren.
There is so much pain and confusion in the world today. We believe that the spiritual and cultural attack on the family (especially within the church) is intensifying and we’re doing everything possible to strengthen and equip families for the battle that we’re in.
Every resource we offer is designed to protect, strengthen or restore family relationships using biblical wisdom and principles.
